Brief Background

My Heart Beats Africa Foundation Inc. (MHBAF) was founded in May 2025 by Mr. Curtis Brooks, a distinguished humanitarian, global advocate, and philanthropist whose life and work embody a deep commitment to advancing Africa’s social, economic, and human development.

Motivated by his profound belief in the inherent dignity and potential of every African individual, Mr. Brooks envisioned the Foundation as a transformative platform dedicated to empowering communities, nurturing leadership, and building sustainable futures across the continent.

Our Vision

A prosperous and inclusive Africa where every woman, man, and child lives in
dignity, enjoys equal opportunity, and contributes meaningfully to a sustainable
and empowered continent.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable women, children, and youth through innovative and
inclusive programs in education, health, agriculture, gender equality, and
livelihood development—advancing human rights, social justice, and sustainable
community transformation in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).

Curtis brooks
Founder & CEO

Curtis brooks is the founder & CEO of Faith -based My Heart Beats Africa foundation , a United States based NonProfit organization that has a branch operating in Nigeria with the mission NO ONE GOES HUNGRY.. Curtis is also a first time author of a memoir titled “I Never Gave Up” set for summer of 2027 an inspiring personal story of building an international non- profit organization in Africa. His goal is to build the most influential Non-Profit organization in all of Africa , My Heart Beats Africa, Inc is on its way to becoming just that.
