accountable leadership framework that ensures strategic direction, institutional
integrity, and impact-driven execution across all levels of operation. The
Foundation’s governance structure promotes transparency, participation, and
excellence—anchored on sound management principles and strong ethical values.
Founder & Executive President : Mr. Curtis Brooks
A passionate humanitarian leader, global advocate, and social innovator dedicated to advancing African-led development through partnership, empowerment, and service. Mr. Brooks provides overall strategic vision, leadership, and international representation of the Foundation’s mission and values.
Vice President : Amb. Emmanuel Amara Vandi Fomba
Vice President serves as the principal representative and strategic coordinator of MHBAF’s operations across the African continent. Working directly with the Founder & Executive President, the Director oversees the implementation of regional programs, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures that the Foundation’s global strategies are effectively localized to address Africa’s diverse development contexts, while fostering synergy among country offices and strategic partners.
The Foundation has an Advisory Board Council comprising distinguished professionals from diverse fields—including international development, law, finance, education, health, agriculture, and public policy—who provide governance oversight, strategic direction, and fiduciary accountability. The Board ensures that the Foundation’s programs align with its mission and comply with international standards of non-profit management and transparency.
The Executive Management Team is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Foundation, including program design and implementation, resource mobilization, partnerships, and monitoring and evaluation. The team ensures that all initiatives deliver measurable and lasting outcomes in accordance with MHBAF’s strategic objectives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
