THE LEGACY CONTINUES

The Legacy of My Heart Beats Africa Foundation

My Heart Beats Africa Foundation was born from love, faith, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief in God’s purpose. It is the living legacy of Lizzie Joyce Brooks—a woman of God whose heart beat for people, whose life was a sermon, and whose dream was to open a church and minister to souls with compassion, humility, and truth.

Though she passed away before her church doors could physically open, her vision did not die with her. Her faith was planted in the hearts of her children, watered by prayer, and sustained by God Himself. My Heart Beats Africa Foundation is that vision made alive. It represents everything she stood for: unwavering faith in God, love for humanity, service to the vulnerable, and the power of prayer.

Raised in a Christian home, shaped by loss and strengthened by God’s presence, our founder’s journey is a testimony of resilience. After the passing of his father at the young age of 38, it was Lizzie Joyce Brooks who carried the family forward—never alone, but always guided by God. She raised her children to respect others, to pray without ceasing, and to build a personal relationship with God. She lived what she taught. She ministered wherever she went, to anyone who would listen, with a heart full of grace and truth.

My Heart Beats Africa Foundation exists to carry those same values and principles forward. It is a Christian-based foundation, rooted in faith, compassion, and service. It is a church beyond walls—a ministry in action—dedicated to uplifting the vulnerable, empowering communities, restoring hope, and demonstrating God’s love through deeds, not just words.

When the time came to formally continue this legacy, the founder sought support from the church that had been part of his life and where his mother had served faithfully. When help did not come, faith spoke louder than disappointment. With courage, obedience to God, and a deep sense of calling, he chose to move forward. What was not handed down was built through faith.

Thus, My Heart Beats Africa Foundation was created—not as an institution, but as a mission; not as a name, but as a calling; not as a memory, but as a living, breathing continuation of a God-given dream.

This foundation is her church. This mission is her voice. This work is her love in motion.

The legacy continues—because when a vision is born from God, no death can silence it, and no closed door can stop it.
